Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Catholic)

Today, Catholics celebrate the day that Mary, the mother of Jesus, was conceived by her mother Anna.  Catholics believe that Mary was conceived without original sin, and so throughout her life her soul was immaculate, or without the stain of sin.
