Summer Solstice is celebrated June 21st or 22nd. It is also called Midsummer or Litha. This is the longest day and shortest night of the year. The sun is at maximum power. Themes here are growth, fruitfulness, abundance. From now on the days get shorter, the nights longer. This is a good time for handfastings and honeymoons.
